Once Upon a Summer Part II

The five new hair treasures created for Part II of the Once Upon a Summer collection are a continuation of the floral theme celebrated in Part I. This time though, they’re brought to you in a more demure style with the slim structure of the headbands. This style requires the most hand sewing out of all the War & Drobe accessories I make, I think each stitch is worth it to create something truly unique! Some of the vintage trims used for this collection come from India and were once part of saris. The beading, embroidery and prints are all original vintage features that are part of the trim or fabric itself. By keeping the authentic features and using vintage materials to make new accessories we’re able to wear a little piece of history while also giving the trim itself a new lease of life.

This collection introduces Dewdrops, Emerald Garden, Enchanted Forest, La Fleur and Petals of Gold to the War & Drobe family. Four of the five new hair treasures are all one-of-a-kind headbands with only one ever made. The Enchanted Forest headband is a limited edition so only three will ever be made. In order to keep true to the War & Drobe ethos of never unnecessarily wasting fabric, the wadding inside the headbands is excess that has been collected when making previous headbands. Each piece is lined with organic cotton and finished off with a label that’s made from recycled polyester.
